LGBTQIA+ Therapy in Denver
You deserve to have a therapy space where you feel understood and safe to share your experiences and strive toward your goals.
You've come to the right place.
As an LGBTQIA+ identifying therapist, I am committed to helping clients of all identities feel not only safe but truly heard, understood, and respected in individual or relationship therapy.
Trauma-Informed and LGBTQIA+ Affirming Individual and Relationship Therapy
Members of the LGBTQIA+ community are exposed to trauma and hardship at a rate higher than those outside of the community. Additionally, the daily exposure to being of a minoritized community - threat of discrimination, prejudice, social rejection, or violence - can have an impact on mental health, sense of self, and relationships. Ongoing exposure to negative societal attitudes can lead to internalized shame or negative self views and can make it difficult to feel that a person can fully live in line with their identity.
LGBTQIA+ and Trauma-Informed Therapy is designed to provide specialized mental health support to individuals who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, or otherwise expansive of the heterosexual and cisgender norms. This type of therapy acknowledges and addresses the unique challenges and stressors faced by the LGBTQIA+ community, ensuring a safe and affirming space for clients to explore their identities and experiences.
If you or someone you know is seeking help from an LGBTQIA+ therapist, let's connect. I would be happy to speak with you more about how I can help.
