Free yourself from the weight of your past

I know it's been a long journey. You've found ways to survive, and they've gotten you to where you are today, but you're exhausted.

Are you ready to move from surviving to thriving?

I'm here to help you. In our work together, you no longer have to feel alone in navigating your emotional pain. I will lift you up along the way, until you are ready to fly on your own.

Relief

Restore a sense of stability and safety in your life. Together, we develop reliable tools to help you manage and gradually lessen racing thoughts, overwhelming emotions, and disconnection. We create a plan for our work together, so that you can get your feet back underneath you and feel confident in the journey ahead.

Recovery

Sometimes, in order to move on from the past, we must move through it. Gradually and safely, we put words to difficult memories and make sense of the thoughts and emotions that have plagued you. We shed shame and self-doubt so that you can reemerge on the other side feeling lighter and more free.

Reconnection

Your past has weighed you down for too long. It no longer has to define you. I will help you rediscover who are beyond your experiences so you can reclaim the parts of yourself that were previously hidden away, reconnect with your body and a sense of who you are, and rejoin the world as the authentic you.

Dr. Molly Jankovsky

PsyD, LCSW, EMDR Therapist

I believe that therapy is an experience that is co-created; the therapist brings their clinical expertise, but each client is the true expert on themselves, their story, and the life they want to lead. I pull from over a decade of experience in the mental health field to create a therapy experience that is welcoming and compassionate while also being effective, by helping you create the changes you want to see in yourself. In our work together, I will utilize an integrative, evidence-based therapeutic approach tailored to you. This means that I pull from a number of theories and approaches that researchers have shown are helpful but that we work together to fit these approaches and strategies to you, your life, and your goals for therapy. I have found that this combined approach can help you find relief in the moment while also creating long-lasting change.

People who have worked with me describe that they have felt seen and understood in a way that they never had before. I listen intently, approach my work with compassion, and value collaboration. I believe in the therapeutic relationship as a place where people can finally feel safe to revisit their past and feel confident that they are not alone in this process. I invite you to show up fully, and I welcome and accept even the messy parts of you... because I have them too!

I know what it's like to lose a part of yourself in the past and the path that it takes to reconnect with the present. With me, you can feel safe to be authentic, real, and raw in this journey. Together, we will get you to the other side where you can have a better sense of yourself and what you want for your life and feel more energized and confident in making that life a reality.

Therapy Approaches

I believe that therapy is not a “one size fits all.” Therefore, I use an integrative approach that is tailored to each person and what will best support their healing and growth. My approach is rooted in theories of Relational Psychodynamics Attachment; this means that I see experiences, particularly during development, as playing a significant role in informing who we become as adults. For example, for people who often did not feel heard in a person's family, they might find a similar experience of having trouble feeling seen or understood in adult relationships. I view the therapeutic relationship as a key for many people in understanding, shifting, and healing these early experiences - by having a space where they can feel heard and understood by the therapist. With this as my foundation, I also pull in other therapeutic approaches, detailed below, that are shown to create lasting changes that extend beyond the therapy room.

To support my work with individuals, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Therapy (AEDP) and Parts Work (similar to Internal Family Systems). These approaches can be effective in treating childhood and adult trauma, depression, anxiety, grief and bereavement, and self esteem.

In working with couples and people in relationships, I utilize an integrative approach that is based in Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples and relationships and pull in skills-based approaches supported by the Gottman Method
